The Genesis OPAL vertical lift easily transports passengers up and down short vertical distances, for applications such as stages and porches. The platform walls, platform gate and optional automatic folding ramp travel with the platform creating a safety barrier around the passenger.

Standard Garaventa OPAL Unenclosed Wheelchair Lift Features:
- Safety Gates: Lower gate travels with the platform between landings, and the upper gate is fixed to the top landing.
- Gate Interlocks: Mechanical interlocks prevent gate opening unless the platform is at the landing, with electrical monitoring for added security.
- Drive System Options: Choose between a 2 HP Leadscrew Drive or a 3 HP Hydraulic Drive with continuous power and backup.
- Lifting Height: Accommodates up to 63 inches (1600mm) of travel.
- Controls: Key-less call stations with rocker switches and platform controls with a directional switch and emergency stop/alarm button.
- Under-Platform Safety Pan: Five waterproof switches stop the platform if an obstruction is detected.
- Finishes: Anodized aluminum with Satin Grey textured panels for a sleek and durable appearance.
- Emergency Lowering (Hydraulic): Pull knob lowers the platform to a landing during emergencies.
- Emergency Lowering (Leadscrew): Hand wheel allows manual lowering during power outages.
